ICAST 2019
ICAST starts this week. Let's make this the official thread.

Only thing I know so far is Hobie supposedly has a new Mirage drive coming out.

Wonder if Power Pole and Garmin will be releasing their trolling motors there, sounds like JL Marine is closer to the finish line. Given their customer service rep I'd buy one in a heart beat.

I would be extremely happy if C-mor mapping came out with a Garmin compatible chip.

Yes, that would be great. Instead of everyone having a small gps on the side just for that mapping card

Will be there Tuesday till Friday.....being as it's here in Orlando. Latest news is that PP will not be unveiling it's trolling motor, of course that could change.

If any OB members will be in attendance get in touch
boodreaux@fishingfloridaradio.com send me your cell and I'll do the same so we can stay in touch and hopefully meet up.

Just enough changed to get a patent on it...so as to keep the copy-cats at bay.

The 180 drive has only been out 2 or 3 years

re: ICAST 2019
How does one go about getting passes to the show? Is it available to the general public or just people in the fishing retail industry/media?

You're a Native guy, right? Hearing any rumors on new Kayaks?

The show is not open to the public.
If you know one of the vendors or a pro staff guy you should be able to get a pass.
It's a fun time especially during the Happy Hours at different spots.
Costa booth is one of the best (free 12 oz Yeti style mugs filled with BEER)

re: ICAST 2019
Just saw that Garmin announced their trolling motor. MSRP was listed at $3000 and up.

Why did we go for years with only 2 trolling motor brands and then in the same year 2 more jump in the market.

re: ICAST 2019
I haven’t heard anything new from Native but I saw a video where they did a sneak peak for the 3 Waters Big Fish pedal drive. Really intreresting looking drive. 3 Waters is a sister company to Feel Free and they made a drive that supposedly uses a chain to push the drive and is incredibly quiet. They took a few things that worked from the Feel Free overdrive system (prop, crank arms, pedals, 8-ball steering) but changed some other stuff like the drive coming totally out of the water to remove weeds. The layout of the boat looks solid but the chain driven drive really intrigued me. Most of the pedal style are gear driven and then Jackson has that coiled worm gear thing. I love how more and more companies are throwing out new tech.

GPS trolling motors changed that game.

Yep, Native guy. From my experience, Native typically drops their new products at Paddlesports Retailer rather than ICast but we shall see!
