I have an echo blower that has been in the shop 3 times in one month, it is very hard to start. Ended up buying a huskvarna blower and can not believe how easy it is to start

as for weedeaters, I bout a shindawia about 7 years ago and it is by far the best piece of outdoor equipment I have ever bought, I will never own any other brand weedeater

My Echo died after 15 years, so I borrowed Alx's Stihl for the last few months in my house before it sold. That POS had constant problems, with starting then killing when you gassed it being #1. The other was constant problems with the lines feeding out. After running for 5-10 minutes the forst problem disappeared, but the lines issues became worse the longer it operated. I would highly recommend getting an Echo.

I have a 4+ Stihl kombi-motor weedeater and an 10+ year old Stihl 025 chainsaw and both start easy and run as strong today as they did when I bought them. Stihl, Echo, Hucky, Hitachi, Shindaiwa, and others all make a fine product so it really comes down to owners who don't know how to maintain them from season to season. Quality 89-oct fuel, Stihl synthetic oil, and a air-tight fuel can will keep them running all season and a shot of Seafoam or MMO down the sparkplug hole during storage. Professional grade products need as much if not more attention to maintenance to keep them running well.

Man had the exact same problem a year ago, its your gas or what has happened to it. Change it out and hopefully you can find some non ethanol gas or buy premium.
Problem solved.

Agree with other posts:

1. Check for cracks in hoses, bulb, and seal where fuel lines enter tank

2. Dump out tank & rinse it out

3. Clean or replace carb.

My Echo weed eater has lasted 12 years and still working...had to do the above repairs one time.

My Echo blower has lasted 15 yrs and still going strong. Never a problem.

Just used my echo for the first time. Can't believe how easy to start and light it is. the stihl was in a battle with a large oak and lost
