I've got a problem with a neighbor in the alley who is mentally unstable and jacked around with my outbuilding which butts to the alley. Unfortunately I probably need to install a security camera back there to keep an eye on things.

What would you baws recommend? I'm thinking wireless with the ability to record.

The building is about 50 feet from the main house. Thank you in advance.

I have a ring spotlight camera. I don’t know if this would work for you but might want to look into it. It replaces the spotlight in your house with sane wiring.

Check out the blink cameras on amazon. Have had ours for a couple of years and really like them

I think the distance from his router might prohibit the Ring

The Wyze outdoor cameras are tough to beat. Completely wireless. Free cloud storage for 14 days. Batteries last about 4-5 months before needing to be recharged.

And best of all, only $50 for the starter pack. Each additional camera is only $40.

They sell Wyze at Home Depot as well if you want to see them in person. For the price, they're a great deal

Bought a hard wired system, crawled up in the attack to install and boxed it back up to return. Went back, got the 3 camera ARLO wireless system, was installed and up and running within 1.5 hours. Have had for close to 2 years now with know issues.

I just put wired Reolink in my new place. Purchased from Amazon, they are plug and play, live streaming and will notify of motion. They have been great so far

I'll second the reolink cameras. Hard to beat for the price and always on 24/7. It's what captured the dog attack video I posted a few weeks ago. Wireless cams are dependent on motion events and their wifi signal before they save something to the cloud. If you want to make sure it's captured, go wired.

I have the Arlo cams. Free app that works cams off WiFi. Can look at live view and talk over the cam. I turn the cams off during high traffic times to conserve battery. I would buy the double battery charge base and get the good screw in mounts. Been very pleased.

You have to have wifi. There is a base station that plug directly into your router. The cameras communicate with the base station. I don't think it would work as a trail camera.

Night owl wired 4 camera system for around $350. You will need a cheap tv from wallmart ($100) great colored night and day video. Stores video for 2 weeks. Great system easy to use.
