Multiple family groups on every mineral/food site that I have. They’re decimating my corn. Outside of poisoning, what’s the most efficient way to get rid of them? I do not own any thermal scopes or the like either. I’ve seen some traps that can catch up to 4 at a time but never used them. I’ve used the tube style traps, and they work well but I don’t want to run one 40 times or buy that many. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Go get you some dog proof foot traps (they look like a tube). Easiest way to set them is to get a flat head screw driver to set and then push a strawberry poptart, cherrios, or just about any cereal into it below the trigger. Then push in ground. This held keep deer from stepping on them or accidentally getting someone's dog.

No issue with catching 5-7 on one feeder in a night. Doesnt seem to bother them that their buddy is caught up 10ft away lol.

Carry .22 and go check once a day with the kids it is a lot of fun to do in the Summer. This is the best thing we have found to do.

You said you didn't want to use the DP traps. But that's your best option. They're safe, easy, cheap, and 100% effective. There's really not another option that I can think of that even comes close.

Change your deer feed baw to one that's raccoon proof.

Well that’s certainly interesting. Don’t know if I want to drive to AR to get it though.

Call them and inquire if there are any dealers near your location?

Don't know. Haven't used it before, but it has been mentioned on here favorably by others. So I called this evening and left a message for them to call me back. Wanting pricing and names of any dealers in North Louisiana.

That website makes some extremely aggressive claims:

Feed won't get ruined it it gets wet?

Raccoons won't eat it?

Not sure I can commit to believing that....But I'm open minded.

Learn to set a conibear and use a 160 bucket set. Load with old donuts. Just don't use in an area that has dogs or cats you want to stay alive.

Like I said, I've used though. Super effective. I caught 3 in 3 consecutive nights back when I was in college after failed attempts with live traps and snares.

I’ve used deer 365 for years, it’s legit. Last time I bought some it was around $22 a bag. Yep that’s high, ain’t so bad when nothing else eats it but the deer, goes further.

Those paw/foot traps work. Marshmallows will catch em every time.

Thanks. This is a brand new property for me, so getting corn on the ground all but guaranteed I’d get an idea for inventory. I was right.
