I checked my game cameras on Saturday at the farm. I was trying to figure what bucks made it through the season. The last one was at a spot that someone could walked across the industrial park and cross the property line. It was missing. I have a lock on there and luckily I had it chained up. I'll be removing it this Saturday. I did not have my harness with me or I would have removed it then. Like I said I hate a thief!

Kind of why I like my cell cameras, although they won’t prevent them being stolen; it’s a deterrent. Most of my stolen cameras before, were most likely stolen because people realized they were someplace they shouldn’t be, and stole the camera to hide the evidence. My cell cameras send the images 3 hours away within seconds. I’ve called club members on their cell phones while they are standing there in front of my cameras, when they’ve “wandered “ into my stand area, esp during deer season....always an excuse, but I put my cameras where their image is usually captured before they can get to the cameras. Yes, they could plan a way to steal them, but they’d have to know where they are...Random people won’t know, they’d walk up to my feeders, and I’d have their image before they would notice the camera. Much less theft, and other people hunting my stands since these cell cams have come out....

Take a climber or some sticks and put the camera up about 12' pointing down.

I was talking to good friend and he said the same thing. He said that Mr. Green Jeans place one low and another high for just this reason.
Thanks for the suggestion!

I made it back up to the farm this weekend. I was able to retrieve my lock-on. I drove my UTV up the power line right of way within just a few feet of my stand. When I stepped out of the UTV I caught a hen getting up and easing away. As I got closer she had been sitting on her nest. Looks like the Toms have been taking care of business!

While spraying the pasture corners where the coop could not reach I came across a hen decoy below one of our ponds. Now I hate poachers! Probably the same person who stole the camera!
