I failed to put down winterizer so far this fall/winter

Is it a lost cause now? Will it still be effective if I get some down today?

All I know is my grass is mostly dormant, but the weeds are still growing like crazy.

Spot spray them now while everything else is dormant.

It has 24D in it

I applied Weed Free Zone a week ago, didn’t do anything. I just cut the clovers down with my mower and reapplied. We’ll see

You can still saturate with as much corn gluten meal as you want. Hit it again with a good backup chemical pre-em in spring.
