For you, how hot is too hot to still hunt? I’m looking at highs in the lower 90’s for the start of bow season.

80 for me.

I just aint that angry at them. Hunted last season and it was 88, and I decided right there this was the last season I hunt in the 80s

For deer hunting probably anything over 75-80 unless I just really want to get out of the house. For turkey hunting, for me there is no such thing as too hot

I've gone many days in the 80's and it usually sucks

But I will continue doing it

I'm going to go with this too. Now, if I am on a big time invite with really hot sign, I am walking in regardless.

Over 80 is too hot for the deer I hunt, at least early season. I’ve been successful, but you have 1 shot at that stand, because it will educate the smart deer, which are the mature deer I want. So, make sure the wind is right, no exertion getting into stand, and hunt late in the evening (no long sits).

If I’m uncomfortable and not enjoying myself, I just as soon not go. Why make my favorite hobby into my job.

I dove hunted a couple weeks ago here in Oklahoma and the high was 95F. It wasn't your typical sitting in a field hunt either, it was walking pipeline ROWs kicking them up.

I don't think I'd ever do that again. I walk enough ROWs for work in the heat and hate it, don't know why I thought it'd be so much better with a gun.

Opening weekend last year was in the lower 90s. If it's that hot again this year, I'm staying home.

Hunting should be enjoyable and not miserable. If it's 90 degrees or anywhere close to it, that is miserable.

I hunted hogs all summer in this heat so you bet your arse I’ll hunt deer in October no matter how hot it is.

Anything in the 80s. I remember one time when I was in my early 20’s. It was muzzle loader season and I went to my uncles box stand on a ridge that a ton of white oaks. The thought never crossed my mind that they had cut some trees that bordered the ridge. Here I am sitting in this black box stand, around 3 o’clock the sun is on my left side just beating me down thru the windows.
I ended up taking off my shirt and pants and was just sitting in the stand in my boxers. Thought I was going to die of heat exhausting.

TLDR: pick a stand where the sun doesn’t hit you or you’ll die. Lol.

I'll hunt in the 80s. Not in a box though.

I don't have anything better to do so I'll be sleeping under my truck on Friday and hunting on Saturday.

Tell me more about sleeping under your truck...

I hunt a lot of WMA's and I always just sleep in my truck or if I'm there for multiple days sometimes I will bring a tent.

When I sleep in the truck it isn't the most comfortable thing I do. I have been considering getting one of those nice hammocks that have the rain tarp.

ETA: 80 degrees is about my limit for bow season.

Heat index was 123 where I was working today. Zero wind. I can say for sure that I'd rather be in the woods

43 years old and for about the last 35 seasons I have never not went hunting because it was too hot. Opening teal or opening bow either one if I missed it was not the heat that kept me from going.
But i am getting older...

I think more about meat spoiling than I do worrying about myself and the heat

I am not gonna deer hunt if it’s 90 degrees out. By the time you get that deer found, drag it, and get it butchered it may be hours and that doesn’t sit well with me

Also see people shoot teal in 95 degree weather, lay them on top of the blind in the bald sun for couple hours, throw them in the bottom of a hot boat, then in back of truck a hot tuck bed
I ain’t eating that
