Yea they really need to start putting limits and regs on the bowfishing guys.

And I am someone who hates government.

Okay then just limits on Gar in general, I am unaware of there is any?

It is fun as hell but I have seen something's that pretty shitty that seems to happen a lot with bow guys.

"On April 22, Hughes Skinner of Madison and Hayden Speed of Flora broke the Mississippi state record for alligator gar, as recognized by the Bowfishing Association of America, with an 8-foot, 223-pound entry."

was being the operative word.

The one sure thing is that it will not get any older.

Of what value was there in ending this animal's life?

People OOH and AAH for a very short while and the it is over.

I am not big on killing things that are old, usually if it is older than me then I'm not interested in killing it. That gar was pushing 100 yrs old.

Nothing I hunt get a tenth of that age.

To each his own though.
