How to get rid of Banana Spiders?
Lately I couldn’t get my wife off the tractor but when she saw the edge of our property lined with at least 1,000 banana spiders she called it quits on the tractor work. What can I do to get rid of these bastards?

They are harmless to humans. Just get a new wife

Good luck. Best bet is probably to put a cab on the tractor.

There is something about seeing her on the tractor working that gets me going and it’s cheaper to keep her.

Zip tie a tall piece of bamboo to the front on each side that sticks up about 8 foot. It'll gather them before you get to them and the limber bamboo will bend to go under stuff. Works great

Hit them with a tennis racket.

Seriously though, you can hold something out in front of you to break the web

Isn't this the insect/arachnid equivalent of getting rid of king snakes?

exactly. Imagine the amount of mosquitoes those big webs catch.

I strap a broomstick or something to the front of my 4wheeler. Try that

Man, I usually hate spiders, I like those though, they have such great webs.
I have a big one on the north end of my front porch. The web was in the shadow until recently( tall trees on the north side), Now that the sun is drifting back towards the south, it has light on it now and looks cool, especially in the morning with a little bit of dew on it.
The spider has moved on though, or a bird may have got her.

They will be gone soon. I don’t bother them unless they build across where I walk, after I knock them down a few times they rebuild out of the walk way.
