How many banded ducks have you killed?

Spinoff from the duck banding thread. How many bands have you gotten? Does your area produce quite a few?
Sadly, between the thousands of ducks I have slayed, I only have 1 band. Banded drake woodie, from the new refuge in South Bossier. I got it 2 seasons ago, about 3 miles from the refuge
Last season we got back to back banded woodies from the refuge (1 hen Saturday, 1 drake Sunday), I was not the trigger man on either.
In Arkansas, the bands have gotten fewer through the years. My uncle and pow pow have lanyards full, from banded greenheads, geese, green money bands ($100), and a couple of electronic banded geese (bands returned).
We hunt with a few older "aim and claim" guys on the river, so its not even worth fighting over. Never thought a small peice of metal could turn grown men into the biggest bitches ever

Legitimately probably 7-8. I've gotten several over the years because a dog of mine retrieved the bird. Which is how most people you see with a shite load of bands get them...

Under 5. Was part of a group that killed a mallard with a transmitter on its back. Talked to the guy in Canada about the program.

2 greenheads in Arkansas. Hunted in south LA my whole life and have never killed one here.

3
2 Greenheads
1 Pintail bullsprig
Probably more that I let people claim, but I know I was behind the trigger on those 3

Took me 24 years....I almost shite myself when I saw the band.

1 on a Ross' goose with a neck collar in Thornwell, LA. It was banded around Lake Winnipeg
I've been in the blind for 2 different pintails, and the wood duck hen killed in Sherburne mentioned in the post above. I had no claim to any of them. I either knocked down a different bird or didn't shoot.

Say it isn't so.

7-8, but I would have to check my lanyard. I have been around a whole bunch more killed. We killed two banded specs in one hunt a couple years ago, I got neither one of those.

Me none. Wife a bunch. Perks of your dad being a duck guide.

My uncle was telling me about a guy up there in Arkansas that shot an electronic neck banded goose, but wanted to keep the band...even though it was a GPS tracker.
Game and fish got ahold of him after a while and not so politely asked him to return it....or else

But I did catch my first tagged fish the other day.

Nah, this was just a plastic blue neck collar and it had a standard metal band around it's leg.
You could see the collar plain as day making it literally a marked bird. Amazing that it made it all that way...

NWLA hunters should be seeing quite a few more bands if the refuge keeps up what they have been doing. We have gotten 3 in the last 2 seasons. Im not sure if they are only banding woodies there, or different species

I've killed a bunch. But they were all in North Louisiana. When I moved to south Louisiana and quit shooting mallards in flooded timber, I quit getting bands almost entirely. I have a banded and neck collard speck and a couple duck bands in the last probably 7 years.
