Wanting to fry some fish for the game. Got a bunch of filets that have been in the freezer for about 6 months. Are they still good?

This is the key to success. Start off with the fresher stuff and as folks drink more introduce the older. I do this for tailgating or at the camp. After enough drinks you could fry shoe leather and they’d gobble it up!

6 months is fine for frying. I had a good haul from a deep sea trip a few summers back that we were still eating on in February. Trip was previous July. Neither brother in law ate seafood and my dad had a long drive back home and didn’t want to deal with a cooler in his convertible. I loaded mine up and brought home a ton of fish.

Never eat frozen fish more than 146.5 days old. It could prove fatal. Send me your address and I will dispose of them for a very small fee. Don't take the risk and liability of doing it yourself!
