How high did you climb?

Always wondered how high the TV guys climb to be able to have two in a tree or one hunger and a camera.
How high do you think you need to be to be not seen drawing back on your bow for a 20 yrd shot?

I’m not sure exactly how high, but probably at least higher than I-10 would be a good start. Dem Cajuns to the south put a lotta pressure on the deer.

Depends on what I'm hunting with and what kind of cover I have. If there's good cover I don't like to be higher than 15-20 if I'm bow hunting. With a rifle I'll climb as high as the tree lets me.

As low as 20 if other branches start to take away clear sight lines, as high as 35 if it works. Even when I do climb that high, the hills in my hunting areas make it where I'm level with or even below certain ground within 150 yards. I also don't measure and may suck at estimating, so could be off by 10 feet at the high end.

100ft is what you probably need to be to not be seen!!
I’m typically at 20-25ft and have been busted but I hunt i areas with high pressure and deer that have been getting shot at since their spots dropped.
A lot of the tv shows you are watching are filmed in the Midwest with low pressure properties and deer that react completely different than deer in the south (la, MS, Al)

Depends on the spot but I'm trying to get at least 20'

I like to get above the canopy so usually 25ft or so
I used to go a lot higher when I was young and dumb

I’m the opposite. With my bow I’ll get as high as I can, preferably in a tree with branches and I’ll get above the branches and hunt out of a saddle. Typically somewhere around 20-25 feet is as high as I can go with my sticks. With my gun I’m no more than 10 feet and usually just opt to sit the ground. I’ve killed my 3 biggest bucks from the ground with my rifle.

I don't like the angle of the shot if they're close when I'm too high with a bow. Probably just in my head.

It can be a bit tricky. They say to aim for the exit. The first deer I ever killed with my bow had a perfect triangle through her backstrap and it broke her opposite side leg when it exited. Almost straight down and slightly quartering away.
