How far east have you seen a road-runner (bird).

As a little kid I first saw a roadrunner in East Texas. By high school I began to see them in the Shreveport area. Over the years they have very slowly progressed across the state. Claiborne Parish. A few months ago I saw one in Ouachita. Just wondering how far east have any of you seen one?

Sierra Vista, Arizona.

(But they were everywhere. True story - they can fly. They just normally choose not to.)

Most that I have seen have been in the area of Boyce, LA...haven't been around there in a long time, though.

In about 20 years they will be in Mississippi I bet. Kinda neat (to me) to watch their slow progression eastwards. I say this, but it took them awhile (from my observations to get east of the Red River, it might take a lot longer to cross the Miss. River

I saw a road-runner in the Rogers, AR area last week. Surprised the hell out of me.

I'm pretty sure I saw one cross US 167 near Meeker.

Kinda hard to miss them, they're pretty distinctive.

Seen many around West Texas and Carlsbad, NM.

Yeah. A long time ago. In a galaxy far, far away. (Okay, Cochise County, but you get the point.)

If that is a current map I have seen a parish record! Know that's important in botany circles, uncertain about birds/.
