We used to have a big problem with people running dogs all over our property. That is until they decided to run across our neighbor while he was in the stand. Let's just say we don't have a dog problem anymore.

We run dogs on our lease. It’s 9k acres so no biggie. I have never seen a dog on the lease outside of dog season and it will remain that way.

I feel like it’s my responsibility to take them to a happier place.

I don’t sweat my balls off in the summer to get it right for the dogs

I’m more concerned with still hunters than I am the dogs from dog hunters. And I still hunt only for the most part

Well baw, I don’t let my dog(S) run people’s property.

If this did somehow happen (it won’t), I’d prefer not ever knowing how that happened. But deep down I’d understand why

I had so many on my place this year. fricking assholes ran dogs through my place and the dogs were all emaciated. Bapple and I confronted one dude about why he starves his dog and he just grabbed it by the neck and tossed it in his truck. Should have cut that stupid gps collar off and brought it back to a shelter in Baton Rouge.

I don’t really care for them to be there.
We have good lines of communication between our neighbors and if we are one of their dogs we try to catch them and they try to keep them contained. We also keep in touch about any “feral” packs we see making regular appearances and how to deal with them.

Ok, detective

Dogs do get loose, and it normally happens when the gate swings open. It’s not everyone else’s problem “muh dog can’t read your posted signs”

my dog rarely gets loose but shoot my dog and there will be some trouble started.

For yard dogs I've had good luck talking to the owners. For deer hunting dogs the owners don't give a shite. I've had good luck on occasion getting the law involved.

When I first moved out to BFE, where I live now, I built a pen for my rabbit beagles. Sam, the male would dig out on occasion and go chase shite. One day he drug himself up into the yard, barely alive after some frick head ran a broadhead thru his rib cage, stomach and out his hind leg, shattering his pelvis. I don’t know how he managed to drag himself up to yard. Forced with no other option I put a .22 bullet behind his ear. I spent a few years inquiring about who could have done such a thing. It’s probably good I didn’t find out.

One of these to the arse are a good way to send them hollering back to the house no worse for wear. I used to keep one in the quiver, but I haven’t had problems with dogs in a while.

Don’t put it on a good arrow.
