This^^^. The new Bedico shooting grounds is closed today, but I've heard his road is mudded out.

I called mike from bedico at 0830 and he said between the rain yesterday and the rain coming they were closed. I was there 2 weeks ago and the road was pretty bad. I can’t imagine it now

Glad to hear the customer service carried over from Tallow Creek.

Sorry for the late response, but yes we are/were open today. We only close if water floods over the bridge in front of the range entrance. Aside from flooding, we're open every friday, saturday and sunday of the year unless Christmas Day happens to fall on one of those days.

Forgot to say something, but my old lady moved over from Silo to Chef a couple of months ago. Are you at Chef, or Gentilly?

None of the above. I left Folgers in December to take a job as a Senior Maintenance Specialist at the Abita Brewing Company.
Edit to add: But I was a Gentilly for all 12 years I was there except for 6 months I temporarily transferred to Chef to help with the Dunkin Donuts at-home coffee kick off, back in late 2007.

Range will likely be closed for next weekend, as the Pearl is expected to be above 16' by Monday and as high as 18' by Wednesday...will know more tomorrow once the maintenance crew gets out there and is in contact with LDWF.

What is the river stage threshold to close Honey Island?
Posted on 5/12/19 at 6:06 pm to 4LSU2
PR WMA closes at 16'
LDWF decides the Management area closure, but usually at 16'
The bridge to the range floods at just above 16'

PR WMA going to be open this weekend? Last few days of this spring squirrel season.

no sir
ldwf closes the gate at the front of the management area when the Pearl River Gauge at the town of Pearl River reaches 16'
not sure of the legality of boating in using the river /navigation canals though...would assume it's not.
may want to consult with LDWF
however it is forecast to be under 16' early Monday morning...my guess would the management area gates will still be closed until at least Tuesday...Again, I would call LDWF on that also

Appreciate the update. Going to Sandy Hollow so I’ll be high and dry (although I probably won’t see any squirrels).
