Figured that may ruffle some feathers.

Sorry if I came on strong. Your comments were a bit vague and I couldn't tell if you were pro or anti on the gun legislation. I've just had numerous previous discussions with you on the topic and assumed you supported it. Apologies.

Again, Senate doesn't equal Obama

It doesn't but it may as well have. Being a democratic majority, if the 90% statistic that he loves to state were true, it would've passed.

Whether or not you support him, what I think is just absolutely despicable is to use Newtown families like pawns for your political agenda. I know most politicians will use emotional appeals for those voters on the fence, but putting a crying woman on national TV to sway votes, flying others around the country to promote your anti-gun ideals, and then saying we disrespected the victims for not passing this legislation is just so insanely twisted. I cannot salvage any respect for the man at this point.

Nonetheless, didn't I tell this board this would happen. I said don't get caught up in the hype, nothing will come of it...it's all political posturing. Hell, some of you said legislation would be passed by Jan. 15th. Still nothing.

Did you not see the Obamacare debate? We would have an "assault" weapons ban right now if not for the people who freaked out and the NRA.

No worries. While I do think something needs to be done (concerning our societal handling of guns and gun control), that legislation was not it.

Obama is a lighting rod and his presidencies are shaping up to be only that ... Whether that's good or bad may differ from one guy to the next

and the NRA.

Dude, the NRA is hurting the gun advocate cause right now.
Their off the wall comments and theories about guns and violence make gun advocates appear to be lune bats to your "on the fence" American.
