my fil fell out of his boat in PAC. Separated his shoulder getting back in and got a nasty set of infected ant bites from working in the yard.

Do I know you? I'm pretty sure I'm the only one to have luck like this.

Why yes, yes I have

In my younger day, falling in the drink happen more often than not. It was usually my partner or myself after we consume a case of Budweiser each. These were all day affair in the boat. I have sense learned how to better control my drinking

But I have golden opurtunity to relive those days at the upcoming OB gettogether and I fully expect to take advantage. My 1L will be complete and I am prepare to live it up

Two incidents. The first was in a pirogue with a rookie. Told him to not move, stay still while I paddled in a 6' canal in Venice. It flips, water was freezing, so pissed. I hunted for an hour before heading back.
Last year I was in my yak that's not designed for offshore. I paddled out to drop off a bait past the second sand bar and paddle back in. Yak flips including my $350 rod/reel. It was around the first sand bar. Life guard was a freediver and had extra gear so we both went looking for the rod and the riptide was bad, water not clear, and a 10' hammerhead cruising the area that morning. I could care less if a great white was in the area, I was going to find that rod and we did!

Years ago, I was fishing the Basin in a little chute off of the Atchafalaya River with a friend. The water level was extremely high but coming down and water was rushing out of the woods. My buddy was on the front deck and asked for the jug of tea which I proceeded to hand to him. When he tilted his head back to drink, he lost his balance and began to fall out of the boat. Stupid me grabbed the front of his shirt and he pulled me right in with him. As we tred the muddy water, we were laughing so hard we didn't notice the boat was hauling arse down the chute heading to the open river. We swam about 100 yds. and only caught up with it when it snagged on an overhanging limb. It was pretty cold, nearly nightfall, and nobody was on the river. That boat hits the river and we are shite out of luck

Remember that one Marcel?
