Hank is 6.5 and acts like a puppy, but good with our children and has unbelievable hunting drive. Love him dearly.

My friend in McClellanville had one. Why are they so popular in SC? I didn't realize it was the state dog. The state dog should be black labs named Cooper.

My Sadie is now 6. Incredible drive to retrieve. Very smart. Great with the family as well. She is very protective of our house. Only problem with her is she doesn’t like other dogs very much. Our Border Collie and her get along but that’s about it. LINK

Bijou is going on 9 years this coming January. She's awesome. Her hunting days are probably done, but she has unimaginable patience with my 22 month old. And she is my first dog.

My favorite shot of her with her first ducks:

That is where the breed was developed.

Those are great pictures It’s crazy to me that someone gave that dog up. Nice for him to end up in a good hunting family though. Worked out for the best.

I take it back. THIS is the most Boykin Picture ever.

One of my favorite sayings is, "From the field to the Family Room."

My boy, an only child, calls ours his "Dog Brother".
