Would you go to Grenada Lake, Toldedo Bend, someplace else in with 5 hours or so of Raceland?

Looking to get a trip together for my FIL for Christmas. He would be better suited for a party boat, his balance ain't all that great.

Larto Lake. I had a barber who swore that was the crappiest sac a lait lake in the south. He and a gang would rent cabins at the campground and tear up the fish.

Try Jason Sandage (573-624-0250). He guides Enid, Grenada, & Sardis.

Great guy & guide, but I'm not sure if he has the kind of a boat you're looking for outside of his Ranger.

Seriously
Go to Toledo bend
get picked up at the dock
Sit in a captains seat on party barge
Drop shiners in brushpiles
Catch white perch

That's the main thing. My FIL is 78, hes had 3 knee replacements (1 was done twice) getting in and out of my boat is rough on him. He doesnt balance well, he would need a Party Barge. I can't bring him anymore in my boat.

I follow Good Times Guide Service on FB. They do guided sac trips on the four big lakes in north MS. Arkabutla, Enid, Grenada, and Sardis. Want to say it’s $400 for 2 people for a day trip. They provide a “lunch” and clean your fish for you. They post nice slabs on their page and their reviews are good.

Yep, living the dream on Toledo, great guide service, and party barges.

But if you are looking for 3 lb plus, Grenada, Arkabutla, Enid & Sardis is the ticket.

What time of year should I book for northern MS? I know Toledo meat hauls are best from mid-May to the end of June.

Another vote for Living the Dream. Have another trip booked for this weekend, they are definitely a first class operation. I’d even consider taking my Dad out with them and he’s 2 weeks away from turning 94. Their party barges will be the most comfort you’ve ever fished from unless you had a Lazy Boy and bank fished.
