grand avoille seeds?

Anybody hear about, or know anyone who eats these? I can't remember the French word for them. Seems they toasted them when they were young.

Boil dat with a little liquid crawfish boil and salt until the shells crack.


ETA: Never had them toasted but the boil method makes them irresistible....like crack. Ironically, I heard they show up on drug screens.

They won't start showing up for a few months tho.

This started when someone asked what benne seeds were. I thought they were the seed pods. Turns out it's sesame seeds. Said her Mom would pick them and make candy with them.
