Anyone making these around here that are worthwhile other than standard mapping? Looking at standard mapping but $400-500 seems a bit excessive. Florida Marine Tracks makes a really nice card too, but they're looking for $600

standard mapping unfortunately has the market...they don't like homemade ones lol

learn how to make them yourself. I did, standard doesn't like that but as long as you don't sell them you are fine.

I have a Legend Cartography card. I think the one I have is the Geaux Card, their website shows $300 for it but im pretty sure I paid closer to $200. Guess the price of these has risen. They also offer the LA Unleashed card that you can get for less than $200. I really like the card that I have. maybe it could be an option for you.

legend is now standard mapping. after they lost in court to legend, he bought them out for a pretty penny...he doesn't want any competition.

your best bet is the plain standard card for 200-300$

What can they do if you make and sell them, so long as you are not cloning one of their cards?

ETA: I had someone send me instructions about six months ago using the Insight Map Creator. I have not had a chance to try it yet. It is supposed to work for Lowrance and Simrad.

I'm ordering a standard mapping card now that they work in Garmin.

The premium version seems to be the one I've settled in on.

I have a Garmin satellite card, only complaint is the contracts between marsh and water should be greater (like on the Standard)....but it was only $100.

Do you have issues with it loading while running? Read about that on other forums. What unit are you running on?

Flordia Marine Tracks now has a Louisiana card that looks legit, but for $600 I'm going to need it to captain the boat as well

especially screw them because they delete anything not standard mapping related on a certain FB fishing page and then laugh about it when you point it out.

No issues, weird that there a very few holes in the overall satellite picture set, but not a real issue. I’m using the Echomap 74dv.

Glenn Schurr is also a liar. He sold cards off the Legend Cartography site but was mailing out his own cards without telling anyone and then lied claiming them to be the same card.

Standard mapping cards are total shite. If anyone wants a picture of a specific area I'll be happy to go out to my garage and screen shot it so you can see the imagery is worthless for anything other than a quick reference.

Here is how Glenn Schurr is advertising his cards on the Legend cartography website. This is the image he uses

And here is the sample image from the Standard mapping website of the same area

This is a screen shot of the map running on an HDS Gen 3

Has anyone made their own card? So basically you are downloading boxes and putting it into a file and once you have all the files, you download into a card that fits your lowrance, raymarine, etc?
