Either way the shells will be hard. Enjoy them.

I would think the Belle River bugs would have the harder shells, but this time of year they are getting to where it's hard to suck the heads properly.

You've got more heat tolerance than me. I did my last boil 3 weeks ago and it was hot as hell for me in N.O.

I got ready to pour them on the table and noticed how many flies were about and moved the table into the man cave with A/C and no flies. I just threw a plastic drop cloth on the floor and we went to town. Very comfortable to not be outside battling flies while trying to eat.

It’s hard for me to get pumped for crawfish after Mother’s Day. Try to get all my lab work in order for boiled peanut, gumbo and backstrap season.

I boiled 2 sacks of Belle River this weekend. They are getting a little hard but weren't bad and were huge.

Had some crawfish at Dat Cajun Place over on Thomas Drive in PC over the weekend. They make the best I’ve had outside Louisiana.

I did some 1.5 weeks ago. They were really nice, but the shells were hard. I also looked like I was squirted with a water hose once I was to the point of letting them soak bc it was so gd hot.

Did a sack last weekend. Shells are hard, but they came out great.

I got 2 sacks of selects last week, pretty sure they were from belle river. They were huge and surprisingly still easy to peel. Made for a good last boil of the season.
