Kubota L3000F
2wd diesel
Approx 450 hours
5ft Land Pride finish mower
$4000
Dad is looking to buy. Seems to be a good price based on what I've seen online (don't know much about tractors). Looks to be well cared for from what I can tell.

I don't know much about tractors, but I know $4,000 typically doesn't go far.

I have an old john deer I would be willing to part with. Been sitting up for a couple of years. I promise the only thing wrong with it is some slack in the steering and the starter.

Sounds like a good deal, condition is everything on an old tractor. Here are some specs on it if you are interested.

Sounds pretty good but I wouldn't consider a smaller tractor unless it had 4 wheel drive. And I'd defitely need a front end loader.
I got a 2009 Kubota L2800 (30hp) HST (hydrostatic) 4 wheel drive with a FE loader, 6' Bush hog finish mower, and auger with 2 bits for 13,400. It wasn't a great price, but ok and I really like the setup.
4 wheel drive is so handy on the smaller tractors because they are so light causing you to get wheel spin. You lose a lot of traction when lifting and your center of gravity is shifting. It's not like 4 wheel drive is just for mud. It helps you prevent tearing up your yard and rutting your pasture.
There are some great small tractors out there these days to chose from so don't pull the trigger until you find the one that you want.

Wasn't a bad one either. Sounds like the typical package deal to me. You did alright.
