Good GPS phone app?

I’m trying to map out some wetlands designation gps points on the ground for a couple hundred acre project. Doesn’t need to be terribly precise, ten feet each way or so. I’d like to be able to type in the coordinates and it give me a direction to go. Any suggestions?

Spyglass is an essential offline GPS app for outdoors and off-road navigation. Packed with tools it serves as binoculars, heads-up display, hi-tech compass with offline maps, gyrocompass, GPS receiver, waypoint tracker, speedometer, altimeter, Sun, Moon and star finder, gyro horizon, rangefinder, coordinate converter, sextant, inclinometer, angular calculator and camera.

Wouldn't the app only be as precise as the gps in the phone you are using? I use huntstand and google maps.

OnX, Huntstand, MotionX GPS, Maps Plus, GPS Tracks, BaseMap and probably a half dozen others I've deleted will all work.
I like Maps Plus for what you are wanting to do, but they'll all do it.

As others alluded to, the limiting factor will be your own phones GPS capability.
For a proper wetland delineation, I would want a better unit. With mitigation costs in the tens of thousands of dollars range per acre, being off even ten feet over a large enough distance could be more costly than the GPS unit you'd buy.

You use ArcMap/GIS? The arcmap app is awesome.

Thanks for all of the input.

Do any of these apps work when there is no cell service? My camp has spotty cell service, and google maps won't load because of this. I would like to use something simple like google maps, but it won't load the maps without service.

OnX has a mode you can turn on to use when there is no service.

But you do have to download the map to your device beforehand using a wi-fi connection, as it is too slow with cell service.
