Garden update

Finally got some progress. Cherry tomatoes are really taking off and cukes are beginning to flower.

Did some hoeing today. Fertilized, but should have last week. Snap beans ain't coming up worth a crap. May replant some seeds. Squash has some flowers.

I planted at the end of March. I planted Kentucky Wonder pole green beans from seed and they are already over a foot tall.

My squash and maters are taking over.

Damn I'm running late . Just got my corn planted last Monday . Gonna get tomatoes ,squash , peas , eggplant , and cucumbers planted this week

Broccoli this time of year? Never planted it, thought that was a winter crop.

It'll be another three weeks or so before we can put out anything here. Gonna have frost tonight.

like the lab!!
sometimes i wish i had a small garden like that. but we have always had big ones, my grandpa was always looking to stock everyone in the families freezer every yr so i guess i just continued the tradition lol, while mine isnt quite as big as his was its still large for me, about 50yards wide and 75yards long.

Love my small garden, just the right size that I can enjoy keeping it up and it does not turn into a chore, plenty veggies for us and all the neighbors

Looks good. Mine looks like crap. Between the weeds coming up and I think I should have fertilized earlier not impressive. Did some hoe work and miracle grow. Hopefully things turn around.

my hybrid corn for pots from burpee is finally growing, i have it in ground and it seems like it really doesnt like temps in the 60s and below

I've been promising my daughter for a couple years that I would help her plant a garden, but we rented a house until late last year. We finally own our place and I was finally well enough to help her this weekend. We planted strawberries, peppers, blueberries, carrots, cucumbers, okra, and a satsuma tree.
My question is, did I wait to late for any of that? (the carrots and onions were the only seeds, the others were actual plants.) Also, I've heard that you need 2 different breeds of blueberries so they can cross-pollinate, to make good fruit. Do I need to go get a couple more plants of a different verity?
My paw-paw would be extremely disappointed because I know nothing about gardening.

My problem is I don't get out in it every day. Then things get out of hand. Just a few minutes a day keeps it looking good.
