Again, I wish they'd shut the whole mfer down and gate all the roads to everyone, including the horse trails that the gov't has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on. I dgaf if every acre of federal land is inaccessible. Then everyone's rights could be infringed on the same and we could all be happy.
Wah wah wah. Grow the frick up pussy. You're trash and I'm glad you are running out of places to run dogs. Join a club. Or buy your own fricking land.
And go ahead. Close public land. I'll just stay on my land live I've always done. Because I'm not a trasspassing pile of shite.

The dog hunters pay the same taxes and license fees as the people that still hunt, and should have the same hunting privileges as everyone.
They 100% do have the same rights and privileges as non-Dog hunters....anybody can hunt without dogs. Sounds fair to me.

Dog hunting never was a "RIGHT", you do not and never did have the "right" to dog hunt. I am fairly certain the problem lies in that dog hunters mentality of feeling it is in the constitution or something. It has only been an afforded PRIVILEGE over the years. A privilege that is being revoked due to unethical practices of those abusing that privilege out weigh those that have tried to be gentlemen about it over the years.

Nah. Too many people rely on that land for hunting. You want to see all hunting outlawed? Close public land to hunting. It will be very easy to kill hunting completely when more than half the hunters quit because they have no where to hunt.

“Dogs cant read posted signs”
I really do get it. It’s tough when something like this gets taken away.
Now Louisiana, lets do something about all these little bucks getting killed. Statewide antler restriction!

obviously I don't want hunting outlawed on public land. That's retarded. I was just saying if it were outlawed on public land like dumbass dog boy wants it to be in response to his dog ban, it would have zero effect on me as I've never in my life hunted public land and never will.

I'll start hunting in LA a lot more if they do this. It makes me sick when I let a yearling button head walk and I know he ddoesnt have a chance if many other people see him.

IM tired of fools saying “we can’t grow em like that here” and then the only 4.5 year old deer killed all year is sportin 150” of horn and we have 5 more like him on camera.
“Once a spike always a spike!”
Well, show me ONE 4.5 year old spike. I’ll wait.

The responsible dog hunter's did very little to protect their sport by influencing law to crack down on the trespassing trash that ruined their sport.
This seems like a weird complaint to associate only to dog hunters. It seems like deer hunters in general are notorious for trespassing. It's not legal to use dogs for deer hunting in Missouri and there are trespassers galore. If you have land on a gravel road you are almost assuredly getting trespassers if a decent buck shows up.

If you want to kill a 200 pound 8 point (or better) he damn sure won't get there if he's killed as a 120 pound spike.

I read through all these comments and only a handful actually have a clue. I guess I'm trashy as well cause I'm a dog hunter, but I have probably spent more on tracking collars, gps units, vet bills, feed etc. than most will half there life. I just want to know what is so great about suiting in a box stand looking at a corn pile and shooting a deer standing perfectly still? Does that make you an incredible hunter? If so the six year girl across the street is just as accomplished, as she killed a 165" ten point last weekend.
The death of KNF dog hunting was the little 5-10 acre hunting clubs that popped up everywhere throughout the national forest. I say treat all KNF property just as a state WMA, if your property touches the forestry you follow the same rules as the forestry. 5 doe days a year and no baiting, after all how many deer are you holding on your 5-10 acres surrounded by 50,000 acres of forestry?

I personally hunt public land, as I'm sure many other people om here do. No box stand. No corn pile. I have to scout and hunt the deer on his terms, not mine. That takes skill, and luck.
How does having a pack of dogs chase the deer all over make you an incredible hunter?

I'll play with you.
You're stupid arse attitude is exactly the reason your chosen sport is dying out. It doesn't matter if the private land is 50,000 acres or 2 acres. You gotta stay the frick off of it. I know that your God given right as a dog hunter is for your dogs to go where ever the hell they want to, cause you know, they can't read posted signs and all. Ya see, I know because I've done it. You drop on that 10 acres of private land and push it out because "frick em", right. "Aint their deer".
Fact is, that KNF that you feel is your right to rape and pillage is all of ours. That deer heard is all of ours and it affects all of us. But you don't give a shite about that. You think it belongs to you and your hounds, despite you being a small minority of the hunting public. Fact is, since the dogs have been removed from the NF, the deer herd has thrived. The hunting is better. The deer are better.
If you want to give us a better argument then what's been presented I'd love to hear it. If your only argument is you love it, it's tradition, and your dog can't read, then just stop cause its not gonna get you anywhere.
