Have you used A&B before?
I used them today, the shrimp were fresh and large. Paid $3.75lb for 50lbs of 16-20 count.

I've had extremely good luck with IQF, whats wrong with getting them that way?

I find these are more apt to stick to the shell when boiling, in addition to the reasons above.

When I buy off the boat or dock, I rarely have issue. Buy them at a seafood market, have an issue almost every time. I’m an extreme snob when buying shrimp and not only do I visually inspect, but smell as well.

Absolutely. Frozen shrimp don't peel worth a crap, after boiling. I'm even more concerned with how they peel than the flavor for my boils. I won't buy frozen shrimp.

That's because the season is closed inside.

That don't mean shite, docks are bringing in really nice white shrimp from right off the beach.

For those that are buying, post up some prices. I need 100lbs, But waiting for the inside season to open again. No QFI bugs for this old man. They suck.

I buy fresh but freeze the shrimp in water. To prevent the shells from sticking when they are done boiling dump ice in the pot it will make the meat and shell separate.

I have several friends that shrimp for a livin and an Uncle that owns a dock. I like 26-30's to 36-40's, that's a good size for just about everything. I only get shrimp from day boats, got burnt a couple times on getting shrimp from bigger boats.

Is the "Tiger" shrimp still a problem and I really don't know the problems they cause. How do they eat?

Caught very rarely. Maybe 2 or 3 a week.
