Looking at buying a new Semi Auto 20 gauge. I love my Benelli SBE3 which is why I'm looking at the M2. But man the Price on the Franchi Elite is very reasonable. Anybody have a Franchi? Like/Dislike?

I have been hunting with a Franchi Affinity 12 gauge 3.5 for 2 years. No complaints other than 3.5 inch shells will kick the shite out of you.

Franchi will kick more

I bought 2 for my kids a few years ago and have had no problems, but they do kick more than the Remington 1100s I grew up on

Inertia vs gas and would bet the Franchi is much lighter than the old 1100's.

My son has a Franchi Affinity.

It's been a great gun (20gauge)

My kid’s new Affinity compact has not properly ejected a dove shell yet.

I've been shopping a 20ga 24" barrel for my son who is 10 and taken a liking to shooting. I might pull the trigger on the 24" compact for him, glad to see this thread today.

Did you try shooting it? It's an inertia gun. Your kid might not have enough shoulder on him.

Yep. Several of us did. Even used some older high brass loads. Frustrating.

Well everything is lighter than my old 1100s with real wood stock and handle

And to the low brass shells problem with the Franchi, I have seen it on occasion, but for the majority of the time when shooting clay pigeons, they have not acted up.

My sons weatherby shotgun has a piston that you change for light loads and heavy loads. Won’t cycle if you are shooting light loads with the heavy piston.

I have 3 semi automatic 12 gauges . For dove season and teal season I bought a 20 gauge stoeger condor o\u . I love it . Single trigger and light . Might want to take a look at it .
