Former Green Beret sniper tries to dulplicate the "Eli" 8/10 @ 40yds in 15sec

LINK
Mike Glover is a former SF sniper and CIA contractor (I think he was also in Delta briefly) and tries to duplicate the "Eli" drill at 40 yds with his carry gun.
This is interesting considering the CIA quals (which he obviously passed) are supposedly the most difficult in the entire US forces (besides air marshals).
I'm sure more and more of these types of videos are going to pop up.

Ken Stretz of Stretz Tactical did it. It's a tough one.
Stretz Tactical 10 shots 15 seconds
I have a feeling this might be a new drill everybody is going to want to do

May try it tomorrow just out of curiosity.

Did Eli use a 5.7?
I would expect that kind of accuracy at 40 yards from a 5.7.

9mm Glock, I’m not sure which model

Just guessing it's gonna be a G17. I have one and nothing I have found comes close in accuracy.

Gotta think the kid probably had a G19 or a 43/X.
Posted on 7/22/22 at 10:59 pm to Jack Ruby
Yeah. I guess we will see. That's pretty damn far for something smaller.

He shot 75% of those shots at 15 yards and potentially did a mag dump. He did not hit 8 shots from 30 yards

Kid is a hero and doesn’t skip range day.

That makes sense. I’m just finding it hard to believe he could’ve hit 8/10 at 40 yds.

Good enough video, but not very realistic. He may be able to shoot that slowly with a lot of combat experience and the ability to control his adrenaline, but the only shot that would have been slow would have been the first and maybe 2nd.
Anyone that’s been in an adrenaline situation knows that those 3+ shots are fast and furious like a mag drop.
ETA: if I had to guess, Eli shot 10 rounds because he pulled the trigger until he ran out of ammo which is what 99% of people would do in that situation outside of elite combat and police vets.

I asked my FBI field agent neighbor if he could do it. He didn’t think he could. He wants to read the after report.
This kid has had serious training.

Also wouldnt the target be moving? We are assuming the target at 40 yds remains stationary and thats just not the case when FIBS kicks in

Disagree. He used a Glock 9mm. Which model has 10rd capacity?
And no, he wasn't using CA compliant mags in Indiana

Uhhh. The Glock 26, Glock 43, Glock 43x, and Glock 48 all come standard with 10 round magazines. All are concealed carry staples.

Glock 43x Glock 19x Glock 19 Glock 26 Glock 17 Glock 43 Glock 34
All have 10 round mags available thanks to California.

Was he in California? No.
Does Indiana limit mag capacity? No
Safe to assume a guy who carried in a "gun free" zone isn't following California laws IN INDIANA.
G43 is 6+1
G43X is 10+1
G26 10+1 minimum
And all have options for +1, +2 mag plates and higher capacity mags that are commonly used.

I bought my Glock 26 in Alabama as a "blue label" gun and it came standard with two 10-rd magazines. So it is entirely possible he was just using the mags his gun came with or just fired 10 rounds out of whatever he was carrying. Contrary to belief, most people do not mag dump in DGU situations.
As for the rest who can't seem to figure out how Eli accomplished what he did, he braced himself on a pillar before engaging. Anyone with an experience knows how much easier it is to hit their target from a supported postion vs. offhand shooting.
