Any suggestions? I need a crew to prep a large area in front of my home. Prefer not to hire a super expensive yard & garden crew.
I will plant trees, bushes, etc

Is there any physical reason you can't do this yourself???
You can rent a tiller to turn over the soil after you remove the sod. Build your own garden beds with amenities like peat, vermiculite, compost, garden soil, etc.
Planting bushes is pretty straight forward, but planting trees, especially ones with a large root ball can be a labor intensive task that you may want to sub out, but everything else is doable by the homeowner if a DIY project doesn't scare you.
It all comes down to willingness to get your hands dirty or reaching in your wallet to pay someone else to do it. Personally, I prefer to get my hands dirty. It is more satisfying that way----at least for me.
