Weather looks to be pretty perfect for fishing this weekend. What location would you recommend as the highest percentage location to catch fish this weekend? Can be fresh or saltwater.

Fausse Pointe has been pretty productive lately from what I’ve heard.

I won’t be fishing there, so I don’t mind sending you that way.

Gonna be a little windy, but I'm still going to tough it out. Like Pillage said, Fausse Pointe is hot right now. I'd fish Lake Dauterive if I went down that way, just because I know where to launch there, and its has close fishable areas, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you only look at sunshine/rain and not wind/tides/etc?

It's going to be nice outside but I wouldn't say it is perfect for fishing

For me the perfect time to go fishing is when I can. Not necessarily when the conditions are ideal.

I am going to Cocodrie so I would avoid that place. I tend to bring bad luck with me.

Kids and a buddy caught a few at Flint creek last weekend. Biggest went 5#

.

They were hungry. Bertha broke 2 lines and had hooks stuck in her mouth before I tied a hook for the kiddos and rattle jr caught her

If you just want fish in the boat, get you some pre rigged popping corks from Walmart with the 18-24” leader and some circle hooks and some night crawlers then go launch at attackapas landing in lake verret and throw all around the stumps/trees for catfish. It’s easy pickings

I don’t consider 15-20mph winds perfect but headed to cocodrie anyways... water doesn’t look great but hopefully we run into some reds.

Pass Manchac boat launch. It’s muddy there.
