Wednesday report from my brother. Big trout are starting to show up in the Reggio area. You just have to find them. All fish were caught on top water baits.
He did catch 5 nice reds along with a bunch of bass. Threw those back. Biggest trout was just short of 5 lbs.
Cleaning them, this is what they are feeding on.
Yep, a lake runner.
On a side note. No ducks there.

Talk about worlds colliding. Of all the brackish water trout I’ve ever cleaned, not sure I’ve ever seen any sort of perch in one. That’s a cool pic.

This time of the year down in that area, the big trout are feeding on just about any kind of fish. Brother talked with a buddy that was fishing the same area with live shrimp. Said he was catching very small trout. Live shrimp is a waste of time now.
