Fishing recs for Grand cayman?
Wife and I are using a bunch of miles and points to stay for five days. I’ve done tons of inshore and some offshore in Louisiana but looking for something that Cayman is above average at compared to La. I know nothing about the island and local fishery and appreciate any insight from experienced guys here. Thanks!

I asked this same question back in January. Got no positive responses. I reached out to some local guides via their FB pages, and got no responses from them. Guess it wasn't meant to be.

We went for a buddies wedding for a few days in January. Saw tarpon everywhere. Really wanted to catch one on fly.

Didn't bother with contacting offshore guys since I can do that here in LA.

I do recommend the sting ray tour though. Its a cool experience.

re: Fishing recs for Grand cayman?
I was there for a wedding five years ago and ran into the same issue...it seemed like none of the local guides gave a damn about taking a tourist fishing. I wanted to catch bones and tarpon on a fly. I ended up hooking up with Fish Bones. Davin Ebanks (draeco @ yahoo) was running the operation. We got picked up at our hotel in an old school three-on-the-tree beat up minivan without doors. We basically drove to the leeward side of the island and walked up and down deserted beaches casting to bones in the shorebreak. Very few hookups on a terrible weather day but a cool experience. We did cast at a few really wise juvenile tarpon from a public pier to no avail. The best part of the fishing trip was eating turtle stew at Over the Edge. Had the weather cooperated, I feel certain some bones would have come to hand. Go have fun!
