Goin in a couple weeks.I want to take my 8 yr old son fishing.Any suggestions for a early morning fishing trip? I will not have access to a boat.I thought about an Inshore charter but think that would be a letdown compared to going to Hopedale.

Zekes always has walk ons and if it's during snapper season they are easy to catch

We are in Gulf Shores now. There are A LOT of charters. Here's a link:

If you take your time and scroll through you will find something to suit you. I saw one that REALLY looked kid-friendly but didn't mark it.

I did a few weeks ago. Plenty of lady fish, Spanish mackerel and blue fish. Lots of fun. Use a steel leader!

I'll be there all week, bringing an old pole and will throw some dead shrimp in the surf a little bit, probably just catch hardheaded but it's all good

Here are some pictures I took last year off the new state pier. And no that is not me.

I always surf fish wherever we are staying in Orange Beach. Last year got into some really good redfish off of the beach but that was unusual. Caught 7 or 8 every morning for 5 straight mornings. The first sandbar was about 20yds out and there was a small horeshoe shape in it and they were staying in the horseshoe. A guy 50 yds down did not catch a single one.
