Platforms in Pelto, Barre, and Terrebonne have been producing trout. You can catch all the sheepshead you care to clean on the first few rigs outside of Timbalier island. We caught a bunch of school trout on the west end of the sulfur mine a few weeks ago but there were 30 other boats in the same area. Haven’t bothered to fish in the marsh this spring.

It's fricking stupid. It's because the fishing in the marsh never got good this winter.

This. I caught 60 at the mine in March. Never before have we done that. Trout never came in over the winter. The water was super fresh in the Marsh all winter. No salt water in the marsh means the shrimp don't come in. Ergo the trout don't either. I barely saw any shrimp boats in the marsh all winter. Last winter (17/18), I had to weave in and out of them constantly to to get where i was going. Dulac
