De heading some fresh shrimp last night that came from the Dularge area I came across this guy. Is this a Wels Catfish??? Its side fins were catfish like. I should have taken more pics but I was a little

After looking it has a long fin along the top where the Wels looks like it does not.

No way. I know tadpoles, and that's not it. Huge mouth on the front as well.

It's a Goby. You have it correct. And only way I knew that was I ate at middendorfs yesterday and they have a "common fish" of louisiana marshes poster as I was taking a piss.

Are those little antennae behing it's head? Looks like a goby, but I can't find and images that show antenna on a goby.

Keep in mind I was deep into some bourbon heading shrimp and 1130 but I thought it had antenna like a catfish. I'll see if I can dig it back up for more pics to confirm tadpole or not

Thought that at first but the head wasn't wide enough I thought. I think it's a southern codling. After it was posted here I googled it.

New pictures of it dried help a lot. It isn't a southern codling like I guessed. It is an Atlantic Midshipman.
