First time in twenty years i did not make one single duck hunt.

I didn't make a deer hunt. I'm already planning for next season.

From what I’ve heard about the season, no. Pretty much sucked up here.

Part of me always says no such thing as a bad season. Another part of me wants you to know you did not miss much. Last day of Coastal zone today and I'm closing the season with a beverage or few - what's the limit on 12oz lagers again?

My duck hunting has gone way down

Water was low until around Christmas which made most the places I hunt a good hike

Day after Christmas water was creeping up and I heard the first surface drive about 7 in the morning. They ran around in the woods hitting every stick and log for an hour and jumping ducks

Next day there were two of them. Could hear them from 30 minutes to daylight til shooting time. They skybusted for 30 minutes and then went scouting or whatever they do. Heard them running around for a solid hour and I couldn’t take it anymore. Didn’t hunt since. Just was not enjoying myself

Used to be all I did. Went once this season.

Around 2015 I really slowed down after the hunting got to be very poor but the competition continued to rise.

We had good hunting south of Lake Arthur this weekend. 3 blinds either had limits or were close both mornings.

Had a great teal season , big ducks showed up Friday . Had great hunts this weekend , not seeing a whole lot of geese .
