Feels like I stole it. New lever gun.

Dad called me a couple of months ago and told me his neighbor was selling a Winchester Ranger 30-30 for $200. Never heard of it. Said it was a lever action 30-30. Tell him I'll take it. Forgot all about it until I pulled up to the old man's house today and he brought it out. Looks in great shape. Reminds me of a cheaper version of my 94. Stained hardwood. Blueing isn't as nice. Action seems smooth and looks to be in about 95% condition. Feels like I stole it for $200. Guy said he paid $150 for it 20 years ago.

Nice looking! I like lever guns...stole a marlin 45-70 from wall marks with there big sale and rebate for 250. Just recientky picked up this satin stainless and black marlin 45-70 to do something a bit different with it.

I'm scarred from shooting a 45-70 brake barrel when I was young. Are they as bad as I remember or is it because I was 110lbs when I shot it it felt much worse then it really was.

That don’t kick too bad..... like a 12ga with 3” mags.

With the high power loads it has some thump for sure! You can shoot softer loads and it’s not too bad. I plan to get into reloading and make some subsonic rounds and get my hybrid on the end of it.
