I went to Oregon last December on a duck hunt and the trip was great. The only downside was it was damn near impossible to keep my feet warm even with multiple pairs of socks. Yeah I know suck it up... but 7 degrees is 7 degrees, I don’t care who you are.

Any one have any recommendations on warm socks to wear with waders ?

Merino wool socks are good. The key for me is to keep my feet completely dry. This often means bringing an extra pair of socks to the blind stand so I can take off the socks I walked there in after my feet sweat.

Good sock liner, toasty toes, wool sock. Did me right last January in 5 degrees.

Foot powder will help keep them dry.

I have the same issue, make sure to buy boots 1-2 sizes bigger.

These usually work well for me no matter how cold it is.

Child's play baw.

Eta...for those of you mentioning merino wool, yeah cool but there's many types for all occasions. My liners are Merino wool but obviously not thick enough.

OP....find some thick wool socks. Best pair I own for the cold are the smart wool mountaineering version. They may still not be good enough for sitting around so do some research.

I'm curious why you would Duck hunt here in Dec instead of earlier when it isn't as cold?

Dang, those two aren't close.

It's cool you get to see completely different sceneries though.

You should see all the fisherman during the salmon runs. Especially the fall run. Amazing sight to see.

That name rings a bell. Don't know him but I know I've seen that name on the water before.

Probably buoy 10.
