These are my everyday boots. Comfortable and take a beating. Mine are probably 5 or 6 years old and holding up great. They surprised the shite out of me.

I have a pair of the Ariat Ramblers that are going on 2.5 years old and still going strong. I pretty much wear them everyday and everywhere. Won't buy another style as long as they make them.

ETA: I see everyone is recommending Ariat. Lol! Really can't go wrong with that brand.

Justin Mulehide, tough as nails. However they run about $250.00 .I have a pair and they're 4 years old now. I had them resold in June of this year. I know that's over your budget but IMHO they're worth it. You can get them at the Boot Store on Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge Louisiana.

Ariat Ramblers are the GOAT for your intended purpose by a large margin. right at your price range too. i wear mine pretty much every single day and will do so for many years to come. will buy another pair once these get worn out.

Do they make anything without that damn square toe?

I rotate a few pairs, varying in cost, but my 10yr old smooth ostrich Justin ropers are my favorite by far. There's no telling how many miles I've put on those. They've been resoled a couple times over the years. Very comfortable boots.

There are only two types of boots toes. Square toes and gay toes

Over the years I've owned Justin, Tony Lama, Lucchese, Dan Post and a few others I can't recall the names brand.

Justin is a good starting point as far as price with the others climbing into the $300+ range.

If it wasn't for 3 knee surgeries, I'd probably still be wearing them, but they put too much pressure on my bad knee to do that now, but I did love how they felt and looked when I could wear them. My brother-in-law really benefitted in this when I gave him 3 pair of nice boots.

Square toes are terrible. Boots should not be subject to fads and trends. If you want boots, wear boots. If you want trendy, wear something from the pages of GQ.

I agree. I never owned a pair of square toe boots in all the years I wore boots. The closet I came to a square toe was a nice rounded toe boot by Cruiserworks made especially for motorcycle riding. They are waterproof and have a very nice grippy sole so if you put your foot down on a slick surface, they grip better than most footwear. Those were the most comfortable boots out the box I've ever owned.

Jk though but I had a gf who was big into cutting horses and damn she would give me so much shite if I ever mentioned getting a pair of non square toe boots.

Now I can’t let myself get a pair anymore since she gave me so much shite about it.
