Anyone here ever done one of these? Thinking about giving it a try this winter.

I've done a few, it's like skeet shooting but with live birds. The guy we use charges 300 per gun and you need at least 6 people. (we usually have 10-12).
They are fun as you can shoot 3-4 boxes of shells in an hour however I would prefer hunting behind dogs.

Covey Rise near my house does it. It's awesome.

Just don't name any of the pheasants Cecil and you'll be fine.

Did one about 10 years ago when Diamond W was still around near Welsh. It felt like shooting moving clay targets. It was a real kick. Expensive but we laughed our arses off.

i was invited to one for work in the spring, west of Houston, the first time seeing them throw a pheasant like a football was pretty hilarious, but i didnt care for it. it was pretty dumb. I wont do it again.

Do it every year. Tower in the AM, field hunt with dogs after lunch to clean up all the missed birds. It's a blast.

I'd much prefer paying the thornhill in Tylertown 200 bucks to go shoot 100 birds between four people behind dogs
