You can't go wrong with a Shield. Like I heard someone mention once. "It's not the best in any category, but it does everything well."

check the walther pps m2 le edition. comes with 6+1 7+1 8+1 mags and night sights.

Since you already have the G17, go with a 26 Gen 4 or Gen5. Stick with the same manual set of arms and carry G17 mags for backup. Not to mention most of the spare parts are interchangeable between the two models(depending on if your 17 is a gen 4/5).

I almost went with the Shield but opted for the Micro 9. I wanted a small 9mm and the Micro 9 was smaller and lighter than the Shield. Shot it a few times this evening and was happy with the results. I'll also have a Shield in the near future though as well.

I love mine. Until the Sig365 gets straight, i think its the best subcompact single stack on the market. Also, Walther has been making the PPS line for 11 years; they know what they are doing. I don't ever carry 6+1 though. Might as well go w/ a Smith J frame when you have that capacity.
