EDC Pistol
I am looking at a Shield 2.0 9mm and a Kimber Micro 9. Does anyone have any experience with the Kimber? I know the Shield has a strong following but I really like the Kimber and it's a little smaller which would benefit me for EDC.

What kind of problems is it having? Haven’t followed up on it.

re: EDC Pistol
Well originally rumored it was having some failure to feed problems and the night sights were popping out.

Apparantly they have fixed the failure to feed and started putting the sig x-ray night sights.

The X-ray sights are badass so that's a plus

I'm just saying I've it some time to let other people be the beta testers

If you're comfortable carrying Cocked and Locked then get the Kimber.

re: EDC Pistol
I already have a Glock 17 MOS. I'm really looking for a smaller framed gun this go round.

re: EDC Pistol
Either one should serve you well, as long as you're familiar and adept w/ the manual of arms for the 1911. The Sig will prolly be a good gun, but I'd let everyone else have 6-12 mos to work out all the kinks before buying one. If you want/need an EDC now, get one.

My debate is between the HK45c and the HK VP9SK

I actually went and looked at a Micro 9 today and really liked it. I've had 1911's in the past and liked them. I really like that it's smaller framed also for what I'll be doing with it.

re: EDC Pistol
Yeah I knew they did but I'd say let those new guns get the ringer too.

Just not worth being a beta tester

The Kimber will weigh more, have a lower capacity, more felt recoil, and must be carried in condition 1 (loaded chamber, hammer back, thumb safety engaged). I'd lean towards a lighter, simpler gun with a higher capacity. But that's just me.
