Looking like a dry week this week leading up to opening day in NELA.

I’m ready to forget about all the craziness going on the world and shoot some birds!

PSA - Don’t forget to complete your HIP certification online. To the best of my knowledge you can’t do it at the license retailer anymore.

We're stuck with a wet opening week in north texas. Finally jumped on a season dove lease so I have somewhere to go all year. Saw decent amount saturday late morning but not much very early this morning. Hopefully they're just flying later in the day. I don't mind hunting evenings. Just need the thunderstorms to stay away.

I understand what you mean. Lost my dad 5yrs ago and then my brother a couple of years ago.

Until my dad passed away I'd never missed a season without them.

The year my brother passed away (2yrs ago earlier this month), I went with my son and my nephew (brother's son). It was really hard on him but we really enjoyed the hunt and used it to remember my brother. My nephew wasn't able to go last year as it was his 1st year away at college and I truly missed him. It was kinda hard but turned out to be a really good hunt.
He's coming this year and I'm really excited to have him and his sister and my son.

Go and enjoy yourself and remember the good times and hunts with them.

Best way to remember them is doing something that you use to love doing with them.

Got skunked out in Virginia. They were flying high. A few groups got some that were near water. Guides said the pressure system from Hurricane Laura was to blame.
