We are cutting our field Saturday. Who else is prepping this weekend? Can’t wait to kickoff the season!

I broadcasted 300lbs of wheat seed last weekend, hopefully it starts to grow before opening of dove season :wink:wink:

Finding a dove field is like finding gold nuggets. I can find deer, duck, rabbit, squirrel, but not a dove.

You gotta give the birds a little more time to find it.

All II have to do is put seed on the rails on my deck on my house. There would be a dozen there within 10 mins.

Dove field prep

We didn't get a great response in the milo and sunflowers we planted this year, but the new pond construction produced a lot of goat weed around the pond with a big burnt out wood pile off to the side they like.

We bush hogged some strips/spots about 10 days ago in anticipation of the 1st in TX for the opener.

Seeing enough to maybe shoot a box of shells, but not expecting limits.

When is your opening day?

The birds need time to find the field. We prep and cut ours about 2-3 weeks out

Any clubs near you? In addition to my family field I am also in a dove club in Georgia.
