What are you guys using and loving?
My 8 month old beagle/doxie/jack russel mix has chewed through two different harnesses in the last two months, prefer something he doesn’t have to put his feet through, since maybe that makes it easier for him to get his mouth on them? Willing to try anything though.

Herm Springer, why you left it on him unattended?

He wasn’t unattended, he was just on the other side of my desk while I was working. I should have known he was being too quiet, but I thought he taking a nap.

He’s a little bastard, but I swear he’s part goat.

Why is the dog in a harness when it is off leash? Those long arse dogs are going to be hell on a harness as puppies, they don't make many that will fit that body type (got a female beagle/ basset/ JRT). Plus at 8 months they chew whatever they can get teeth on.
I went to Gentle Leader for walks until mine settled out, now she is fine on a simple harness.

He comes to work with me during the day, which means he goes on several walks over the course of the time we’re there, it’s a lot less time consuming to leave it on him from 8-4 as opposed to fight him getting his feet into it. I’ve tried all the stand still training I can, he just doesn’t want to take to that part. He’s lovable, but stubborn.
That’s why I was looking into an over head/under body style to clip him in and out, but the reviews are all over the place on the ones I’ve seen. Just thought maybe someone here had experience with them.

Look at the Gentle Leader. It's over the muzzle and neck. The dog will hate it at first but it's not too difficult to get on and off. Also cheaper than a harness and easier to fit for a dog with a long body type that is still growing. Worked for me. Got mine back on a simple step through harness around 16 months old. She's 3 now and I walk her off leash 90% of the time.
Good luck. Dogs are generally a pain in the arse until about 15-24 months old in my experience. But worth it.
