Not even close, tell homeboy you can't measure your own deer and expect an accurate score.

Very close

15" spread
2"x2 g1s
11"x2 g2s
10"x2 g3s

Beams 45"
30" mass

136"

Some of you know nothing about scoring if you think that deer is in the teens

Your numbers are almost identical to mine except for the mass.

I'd think 25-26 inches of mass is being generous.

H1 3.5
H2 3.25
H3 3
H4 2.75

That deer has 4 inch bases easily. 3 inches is really thin. The deer holds the same mass nearly all the way out.

The fact that this deer isn't exceptionally wide, has only 8 points and has weak brows would make it hard for him to go 140. Its still a pretty deer though for sure

Except it has long tines and beams. There is no doubt the deer is at minimum within 6 or 7 inches of what the guy said. No reason to start a thread. Had he said it was 160" then yeah

No way that's a 140. I'd guess 110-120.

I think that deer could definitely be a 140, if not then he is a solid 130+. I guarantee you if his spread was wider most of you would suddenly agree. A wider spread may look a lot better, but it only adds like 3-5 more inches to the total score depending on how much wider he is. This deer has decent mass, and look at this deers tine lengths. That is where he gets that score from.

Have you ever seen an 140" 8pt? It takes a lot better rack than that for an 8pt to make the 140s. If it was a 10 it would be more believable.

Look these picture over of 140" deer. Not one single one is as small as this guys buck.

I agree with Dirk.

The way the beams come back in it provides extra main beam points that are often overlooked. Also, consider how long it has been since he killed it. They shrink a good bit after about a decade on the wall (although they grow quite a bit everywhere else).

Deer is a lot like the one below (killed by my brother). Scored 145 (not by us).

eta b/c I can't type this am.

Well yeah but there are many 140s in there.

I guess if those are two 140" deer I need to get mine measured because I got some 150s on the wall!
