Heading out tomorrow morning. Anyone been lately? Heard Grand Lake and 4 Horse lake were pretty hot right now. Any last minute hot spots? TIA

Fish are definitely inside. They're biting on live shrimp and can be caught in most of the lakes. Nearly everyone caught a limit or close to it. The wind stirred up the water pretty good though. Good luck

I wouldn't run all the way to four horse unless everything South is a parking lot. Since it's a weekday, you should be fine

I usually fish around 4 horse. I have been catching monsters around there. Not many throw backs. Live shrimp or bright green matrix shad under a cork. I think it's called Lemonhead or something. If you get into the trout you just have to cast the matrix into the water and let it sit for a few seconds. They will hit it just from the noise. If they miss it at first reel it slow and they will chase it.

I wish I could help more with that. I guess it depends how far you can paddle. I haven't fished too close to any of the launches. I always see people say inside is where the fish are etc but the options are pretty endless out there on what what means imo.

I've done pretty good with redfish magic spinnerbaits and other spinnerbaits around the launch in the ponds to the right of the main canal

Try the graveyard, it is on the left as you go down bayou gentilly. The canal on the right of gentilly is not bad as well. You can also paddle down bayou terre boufe to the first pipeline canal on the right. it is basically the back end of the graveyard. If you launch at Sweetwater ask them.

If you have a peddle kayak head to little lake. There's trout there. Also it's not that bad a run to shrimp lagoon. Trout there too and any islands on the way there. Artificial is all you need. Shrimp creole is a hot color. So is avocado if the waters stained.

You don't need to go far at all to catch fish this time of the year. fyi. just get out of the bpat traffic and find some moving water, you'll do fine!
