Went to Missouri a couple weeks ago and saw bucks grunting and chasing there. Just wondering if this really takes place in Louisiana I’ve never seen it here, but I haven’t really hunted public hard either do they chase at all here?

I think it's more prominent in places with a closer buck to doe ratio, but probably happens to some degree everywhere. I have even seen it where I hunt, and we have 70 does per buck.

I’ve seen it quite a few times, saw it three times this year but it was just small bucks-a spike,a 3 pt and 4pt.I killed a 7 pt this year, not really chasing but trailing. He was 10 minutes behind the does.

Yeah it happens, just depends on where you hunt if it can be observed or not. If you was in Missouri I bet it was open field ag land and you could see for hundreds if not thousands of yards.
Put yourself in that same chasing situation but in a pine tree Forrest or thicket tbat u can only see 100yds an you walk away saying the deer were not chasing that day.
They only get it once a year!! They will chase through fire to get it we just don’t get to see it as much.
