I like the idea of a crossbow... What is a 10 year old Barnett Revolution with a scope worth? It needs a new string.
I'd like to shoot things around my property but I'm withing city limits so I can't use a gun.

By the way, Choirboy has something you might want. I think he'd probably cut you a deal on it:

Just get a real bow. Crossbows aren't worth a shite.

I get your point, but it's going to happen with crossbows. Every time.

You can't be serious. I have very limited knowledge about crossbows/bows but if you hand someone a crossbow he will be much more accurate with it within a day vs the same amount of time spent with a bow. So a weapon is not worth a shite if it is more accurate and easier to use? eg. "Don't use a scope be more of a man and stick to open sights!"

If you are worried about noise, all the crossbows I've heard are louder than the average compound bow.

Just feed them about 25 yds from your bathroom window, on the outskirts of your porch light, and hunt them at night. If you are doing something illegal, might as well make it a high-percentage chance.
